Child's walker. Chodzik.

This is a part of  commission you saw in my last post.

I just didn't want to mix it in the-under -the-sign-of-chamber-pot miniatures. ;)

The walker is based on the picture from Elblag Book of Meadow(or Meadow's Book) of 1421 year.

I couldn't find any link to this book in English, so sorry, anyway the book is mostly about plants and farmers works in 15th century.

This is my first miniature that has got wheels and they all are working. ;)

Ostatnia część zamówienia, o którym mogliście poczytać w moim ostatnim poście. Nie chciałam go mieszać do "nocników", choć dotyczy małych dzieci. ;)

A na koniec się pochwalę: pamiętacie moją modelkę butów? Jej zdjęcie, wraz z 7 zdjęciami lalek innych artystów trafiło na letni banner Minidolllist. :)

Swaps. Wymianki.

I know I am not posting often lately but I try to keep up with your posts and comment them more or less regularly. ;)

So today I decided to catch up with everything and will post a few post one after another. ;) The first today's post is about swaps with blog friends I owe them so much!

First is a swap with my dear Friend, Betsy. I always admire her paintings and to be honest since she showed her icons she was generously giving away sometime ago I wanted one for myself very, very much.
So once she said she liked my cradle I asked her if she would like a little swap.
 And here is what I got. Quite a lot!
 

See this special postcard painted by Betsy? How did she know I love Greek islands??  She added pretty fabrics - I used a part of one in Tsuki's Nook already.

And finally the pretty pretty icon! I am sorry I couldn't photograph it  well enough so that you could see it's pure beauty!
Can you imagine to paint such small icon? I can't. So I am so happy to have it home!

Do you remember the green armchair I bought sometime ago? I had written I would give it away as it was too big for my scale.
I am happy to say it is living in Sweden now with a talented and sweet Polish blog Friend who lives in Sweden now.:) Th armchair suits her doll nice and this is what I've got from Ewa.

She even went shopping to Crazy 4 Minis shop over there!:) Her pretty notebooks and little latern you could see in Tsuki's Nook too!

Wiem, że ostatnio bardzo rzadko coś piszę, ale staram się być z Waszymi blogami i komentować na bieżąco. Żeby nadrobić tą przerwę postanowiłam zamieścić parę wpisów jeden po drugim. ;) Pierwszy jest o wymiankach, strasznie długo czekały żeby o nich napisać.

Najpierw wymianka z Betsy. Zawsze podobał mi się jej styl malowania, a od kiedy postanowiła oddać swoje miniaturowe ikony w rozdawajce, bardzo bardzo chciałam mieć taką choćby jedną dla siebie. I udało się, bo Betsy bardzo spodobała się moja kołyska.;) Oprócz pięknej ikony dostałam też cudną "grecką" kartkę malowaną przez Betsy i tekstylia. Jeden z nich wykorzystałam w Kryjówce Królika. ;)

Pamiętacie zielony obrotowy fotel? Od razuna pisałam, że jak ktoś jest chętny to oddam, bo dla mnie za duży. ;) Mieszka sobie już u niezmiernie utalentowanej Ewci w domku, bo rozmiarowo pasuje dla jej lalki.:) Ewcia w zamian przysłała mi takie cudowności. Ręcznie robione przez Nią notesiki i metalowa latarenka już zamieszkały u Tsukiego.
Ewcia jeszcze raz serdeczne dzięki!

Rabbit's Nook. Kryjówka Królika.

Oh my! Is it more than a month of silence over here? Guess it's a total lack of a good will that kept me away of writing, lol! I hope I will be better this time as I have a few things to show to you.

Today is about my new BJD or I should write BJPetdoll, Mr Rabbit named Tsuki Kaze - yup I know, kind of stupid name for an animal, lol  but I like it;))
A sweet and only around 10cm high ball jointed rabbits are made by a very young and very talented Polish Lady of a name Natalii White (if you click her name it will bring you to her official FBpage). And we kind of "met" through FB Polish OOAK dolls group. When I saw her cute animals I of course wanted one for me. It was supposed to be a white one first but when I read she was planning to make one in black resin I knew I wanted one like that! As it was her attempt in mixing white and black resin the result is - as someone on FB said - like-a-cow-look. And because of this saying I decided to give him more uncommon name so that he wouldn't feel bad about being called a cow, lol! So according to intenet: Tsuki means Moon and Kaze - Wind in Japanese.

Oh gosh! That must be boring to read how he "was born"! Anyway straight to the point: I needed a place for him so he won't be lost easily in my room and can hid and do the things he likes.;) That's how Rabbit's Nook appeared. Yes, it's another lantern! This time I thought of giving it kind of "oriental" look. Hope you will like it and Tsuki too!

The books and little table lantern are a part of a swap with Ewa - I still need to write about that too!
The pretty brown-star fabric is a part of a swap with Betsy - yup! Another post soon! :)

The table is one that was made of buttons.;)

The ceiling lamp is going to be changed when I find a good inspiration.;) And I want to make a hookah or Moroccan traditional pipe for him too.

Dziś o nowym....Króliku, hahaha! To moja najnowsza BJD a raczej BJPetdoll, jak zwał tak zwał. Królik autorstwa bardzo utalentowanej Natalii White, mierzy sobie niecałe 10cm (z uszami).
Miał być całkiem biały, ale jak przeczytałam, że Natalia chciałaby zrobić coś z czarnej żywicy, to pomyślałam, że to świetny pomysł. Ponieważ była to jej pierwsza próba wymieszania czarnej żywicy z białą, powstał królik, który - jak się ktoś wyraził na FB - wygląda jak...krowa! ;)
Żeby mu oszczędzić "wstydu" bycia nazwanym krową dałam mu imię Tsuki Kaze (wg internetu: Tsuki to Księżyc, Kaze - Wiatr po japońsku). No dobra, ja tu o Króliku, a miało być o Kryjówce.

Kryjówka powstała po to, żeby go ochronić przed promieniami UV - bo u mnie niestety lampa z żarówkami energooszczędnymi - oraz żeby się nie zgubił za szybko ;) i żeby miał gdzie posiedzieć i poczytać, ;) Tak, to kolejna latarenka! Tym razem pomyślałam o orientalnym stylu. Mam nadzieję, że się Wam spodoba.
Co prawda lampa jest do wymiany i marzy mi się sheesha lub tradycyjna marokańska fajka, ale...;)
Książki i latarenka na stoliku - wymiana z Ewą, "gwiezdny" materiał na kanapie - wymiana z Betsy. Cała reszta, poza Królikiem, mojej własnej produkcji.;)

A November Nostalgy. Listopadowa nostalgia.

Since I’ve started to post also about my country on this blog I have been wondering if I should write about this holiday. For it is a holiday for sure. Somehow kind of strangely when I first saw the cover of this book I thought it might work together well.;)

So first things first: thanks to Bözse who mentioned about it, my modest miniature’s library has been enriched by a new book by László Adóba Building Dioramas Stone Objects. It’s a very interesting book how to build scale models from anything you could possibly find home, full of tips and great photos. I can really recommend it to anyone interested in building miniatures oneself.

Since the book and it’s cover tells a lot about tombs I thought it will be a nice reference to the holiday I wanted to tell you about. As many not only English language speaking countries celebrate Halloween by the end of October, I think in majority Poles don’t do that.
Although we accepted many non-Polish holidays like Valentines i.e. Halloween is something that is not coming in our tradition easily. The reason of that is our holiday of All Saints which is celebrated on November 1. If anyone of you know except birthdays we celebrate namedays too. Usually the day of the name happens to be in different days of year but All Saints day means also we all have a nameday too. Of course this day we don’t celebrate our namedays. But we remember all our gone ancestors and friends who we think must have been saints now for sure.;)
Because the next day we have also All Deads Holidays, November 1 and November 2 are devoted to visit the graveyards and cemeteries.
Actually I would call it the national Polish movement to graveyards.;) You can only imagine a crowd of living people visiting dead ones these days. The graveyards full of flowers and lights are quite joyful place then. Here are some pictures I took last weekend, so almost a week later and still you can see how colorful place a graveyard can be.

This is probably one of the best known grave on the cemetery we visit most. Don’t know if it was a boy or a girl and suppose his/her parents must had come back to China long time ago, but since 1953 this is always most colorful and full of little candles place there.

Dziś trochę o tradycji Święta Wszystkich Świętych i Wszystkich Zmarłych oraz o nowej książce w mojej “miniaturowej” biblioteczce. Spoiled rotten! Rozpuszczona jak dziadowski bicz!

Although the best for me was to meet sweet Sans! face to face, I cannot forget to thank all these wonderful Ladies that spoiled me rotten.:)( I was feeling like a child during Christmas Eve!!)............................................................................................ Your gifts are very special for me because you didn’t need to think of me while Sans! was travelling to your places. I value your Friendship and Generosity very much!.......................................................................................... First of all I was spoiled rotten by Sans! herself. She brought so many things, I couldn’t believe it!

To my surprise not everyone of them were miniatures!

She even bought this wonderful egg cozy from Rosanna, whose work and patience I admire all the time! This is really a marvel to me!

And brought sweets from Spain and from my dear dear Friend, Brigit!!!!

I have to admit I was in shock when Sans! emailed me she was bringing a gift from Cindy for me!!! I was stunt to see it. Even more to have her splendid miniatures in my hands. And gosh!!! I never ever suspected how teeny tiny these cakes and fish are!!! And the tea bags!!!! Thank you, Cindy for thinking of me!!!!

The last but not least was a gift from someone I admire from the first time I joined Blogger: Eva. The books are AMAZING! Don’t know how she made these patterns but my Dad was suspecting some of them are made of sesame seeds. LOL!

Dear Ladies: Sans, Brigit, Cindy, Eva and Rosanna!!!!.............................................................................. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for thinking of me, for your generous hearts and talented hands and most of all for your Friendship! I am so honored to know such wonderful Ladies and own their fantastic miniatures!! Thank you!!! Lady Abigail de Winter arrived yesterday safe and sound! I was soooo lucky to win her in Brigit's of Biwubaren on the blog give-away. She instantly conquered everyone's hearts!

But she wasn't alone! She brought a lot of gifts form her Mum Brigit along! So they both spoiled me rotten! All you see around her and in the backgrounds of the photos was made by dear Brigit herself! I can't stop admiring all these Christmas ornaments that for sure will adorn my house this year and in future! Among fabulous gifts were also:
beautiful potion bottles (of course they will be used in Snape's house once I finally build it!)

And this very special magical book(yes, Snape's too!)

And something I always admired on Brigit's blog(don't know how one can cut out something so teeny tiny and pretty!)

And Abigail also got a welcome gift.

She seems to like pink too.;)

As you all know by now, I am Ericka VanHorn's fan, I love all her miniatures and her incredible imagination:). Sometime ago I was one of the lucky winners of her give-away and won a wonderful book. Ericka emailed me if I had an idea of what she could put on the pages so I sent her a few pictures I liked leting her to choose. Yesterday the book arrived home. She even added a poem to the picture! Just look at that! Isn't it fantastic?!;D

Wczoraj dotarła do mnie moja wygrana w give-away'u Ericki VanHorn. Jak wiecie jestem fanką jej miniatur więc ta wygrana sprawiła mi wielką przyjemnosć. Ericka napisała do mnie z pytaniem jaką chcę książkę, a ja przesłałam jej propozycje obrazków - które mi się podobały - do wyboru.:) Sekretarzyk, na którym leży książka jest całkiem nowym nabytkiem, zajechał również w tym tygodniu do domu. Jakkolwiek wiem, gdzie znajdzie swoje miejsce książka, to póki co zupełnie nie mam pomysłu na to, gdzie postawię sekretarzyk. Ale jest taki ładny, że nie mogłam się mu oprzeć.;D

Zamówiłam wszystkie magiczne książki jakie Grace ma w swoim sklepie i jeszcze dostałam prezenty!:) Bardzo podoba mi się to plastykowe pudełko pełne książek.:)

First books for Spinner's End...

...which I don't know when I will be building because I have a lot of books to collect before. Truth is I will have to make tons of them myself but since there are great book's makers around I decided to order at least a few.

These books you see on the photo were bought from Ladies Mile Miniatures Etsy Shop. Theresa's got also her own website named the same way. She sells lots of miniatures including books that perfectly fit into 1:12 shelves. These are really simple books but I love the covers which will look perfectly when standing on the shelves.:)

Pierwsze książki do domu Severusa - który to dom nie wiem kiedy powstanie, ale zebranie obrzymiego księgozbioru zajmie mi trochę czasu. I tak miliony książek będę musiała zrobić sama, skoro jednak w około jest sporo swietnych artystów robiących je, postanowiłam choć kilka z nich zamówić. Te na fotce to bardzo proste książeczki ze swietnymi za to okładkami, które będą idealnie wyglądać na półkach Snape'owej biblioteki.

Christmas gifts :)

It is probably the first time I've got so many gifts related to my miniature passion.:) I am still waiting for that last jar for Snape's office but this is what I was given during the Christmas and New Year's time.:) And I am soooo happy!! :D

Lately I was very lucky to be one of the winners in Margaret's of My Petit Parterre give-away and today my prize has just arrived save and sound. Just look at this stunning chandelier!

Isn't it beautiful? And yes, it IS working! Margaret kindly added this little red blood phial too, of course it is going to be placed in Snape's office. And I already know where I will use this elegant chandelier.:) Thank you sooooooooooo much Margaret! I just love them both!!

Yesterday I also got this beautiful surprise gift from Janny of Art of Mini. I have been admiring her beautiful miniatures for some time and she kindly sent me this beautiful kit, just a perfect gift for Christmas!:)And you all know I just love mini printables!:D

The two books in French are gifts from my Sister who is visiting us this Christmas - she was so lucky to come home these holidays - none of the planes she was traveling with was neither much late nor cancelled! Hope she will have a good trip back to France too.:)

The Magnificent Miniatures book I ordered in Empik in October and finally it came just before Christmas so I guess I can count it as a gift too.;)

And this is my first Fimo and cutting mat from my dear Cousin Marta.:)

Chyba pierwszy raz zdarzyło mi się dostać tyle prezentów związanych z moim hobby w tym około Bożonarodzeniowym czasie.:) Dzis w końcu dotarł do mnie żyrandol, który miałam szczęscie wygrać w give-away'u u Margaret. Jest szalenie elegancki! I w dodatku działa! Margaret dołączyła też niewielką fiolkę z krwią, która to oczywiscie powędruje do gabinetu Severusa.:) Wczoraj dotarła do mnie niespodzianka od Janny, której miniatury od dłuższego czasu podziwiam, toteż bardzo mnie ucieszyła, zwłaszcza, że jak widać jest w sam raz na Swięta.:) Dwie książki z francuskimi tytułami dostałam od mojej Siostry, która zawitała bezpiecznie i prawie bez opóźnień z Francji na Swięta do domu. Książkę Magnificent Miniatures zamówiłam w Empiku już w Październiku, ale dotarła na krótko przed Swiętami więc i ją traktuję jak prezent pod choinkę.;) Pierwsze Fimo i matę do cięcia wraz ze specjalnym nożykiem z wymiennymi ostrzami dostałam od mojej Kuzyneczki Marty. Bardzo wszystkim serdecznie dziękuję! Zapomniałam jeszcze o specjalnym urządzeniu do cięcia i piłowania, które dostałam od mojego Brata i jego Żony. Nie jest to Dremel, ale cos bardzo podobnego marki Parkside.:)W końcu mogę porzucić piłkę ręczną! ;)Wielkie dzięki!!
Chiciałabym też przywitać nowych Obserwatorów! Czujcie się tutaj i bawcie dobrze! Jestescie zawsze tutaj mile widziani!
