Dahlias. Dalie.

Today non mini post, but I had never seen these colours of dahlias - pink and gold. I didn't say I saw everything, though. Lol. So here are a few photos of beautiful and short-time-in-vase-standing dahlias I bought some time ago.

Dziś post nie o miniaturach, ale muszę przyznać, że nie widziałam wcześniej dalii w takich kolorach - róż i "złoto" . No przecież nigdy nie powiedziałam, że już wszystko widziała. ;) Parę zdjęć pięknych i niestety krótkotrwałych dalii, które kupiłam jakiś czas temu.

Sometime ago I've found an inspiring magazine called: meetings with monuments. Not every issue is interesting for me but this time I just couldn't stop staringa at this:

Isn't it a FANTASTIC building? I am charmend by all these little windows...
And guess what? It is in Poland!
This palace has a lot of luck as it has returned to it's owners - during communist times most of this kind of  buildings were annected by government and usually used without thinking of taking care of them, many of them are gone for good...  And the owners decided to turn it into exclusive hotel. Well, for sure they will have a lot of work and need a lot of money.

Another news is this diorama of Gdynia in recently open InfoBox.

Here is cradle no 3 and sewing table no 2. They are on their way to Belgium and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will be liked "alive".;)

Różne sprawy w jednym poście.;)
Całkiem niedawno odkryłam inspirujący dwumiesięcznik o nazwie Spotkania z Zabytkami - nie każdy numer jest ciekawy (dla mnie), ale od ostatniego nie mogłam oderwać wzroku. Tylko spójrzcie na ten budynek! To jest pałac.... w Guzowie.
Na jego szczęście właściciele, którzy go odzyskali planują odnowienie pałacu i przekształcenie go w ekskluzywny hotel. Trochę to potrwa, ale budynek na pewno wart jest i wysiłku, i kasy.

Kolejne fotki to plan Gdyni w nowo otwartym  InfoBoxie. Na fotkach "moja" okolica i dworzec Główny wraz z budynkiem Sądu.

Na ostatniej fotce kołyska nr 3 i niciak nr 2, które właśnie podróżują do nowego domu w Belgii. Trzymam mocno kciuki, żeby na żywo również  podobały się nowej właścicielce.:)

Yes, Spring has finally arrived, still shy and a bit cold but we can see more and more of it.:)

Dziś parę fotek z wiosny, która wreszcie chyba się zadomawia na dobre.;) I troszkę fotek - inspiracji dla domku P'Nilli. Czasem myślę, że tych pomysłów mam za dużo i biedactwo będzie musiało jeszcze poczekać na decyzję... ;)

When I found it I had to have it. Jak ją zobaczyłam, to musiałam ją mieć, nie wiedziałam co prawda co z niej zrobię, ale wiedziałam że jakoś się ją da wykorzystać.;) No i taki dzień nadszedł.;) Pomalowałam ją na niebiesko i wsadziłam do walizki z pamiątkami.;) To też kawałeczek give-awaya, który rozpocznie się już jutro na blogu i na facebookowej stronie Pracowni. A November Nostalgy. Listopadowa nostalgia.

Since I’ve started to post also about my country on this blog I have been wondering if I should write about this holiday. For it is a holiday for sure. Somehow kind of strangely when I first saw the cover of this book I thought it might work together well.;)

So first things first: thanks to Bözse who mentioned about it, my modest miniature’s library has been enriched by a new book by László Adóba Building Dioramas Stone Objects. It’s a very interesting book how to build scale models from anything you could possibly find home, full of tips and great photos. I can really recommend it to anyone interested in building miniatures oneself.

Since the book and it’s cover tells a lot about tombs I thought it will be a nice reference to the holiday I wanted to tell you about. As many not only English language speaking countries celebrate Halloween by the end of October, I think in majority Poles don’t do that.
Although we accepted many non-Polish holidays like Valentines i.e. Halloween is something that is not coming in our tradition easily. The reason of that is our holiday of All Saints which is celebrated on November 1. If anyone of you know except birthdays we celebrate namedays too. Usually the day of the name happens to be in different days of year but All Saints day means also we all have a nameday too. Of course this day we don’t celebrate our namedays. But we remember all our gone ancestors and friends who we think must have been saints now for sure.;)
Because the next day we have also All Deads Holidays, November 1 and November 2 are devoted to visit the graveyards and cemeteries.
Actually I would call it the national Polish movement to graveyards.;) You can only imagine a crowd of living people visiting dead ones these days. The graveyards full of flowers and lights are quite joyful place then. Here are some pictures I took last weekend, so almost a week later and still you can see how colorful place a graveyard can be.

This is probably one of the best known grave on the cemetery we visit most. Don’t know if it was a boy or a girl and suppose his/her parents must had come back to China long time ago, but since 1953 this is always most colorful and full of little candles place there.

Dziś trochę o tradycji Święta Wszystkich Świętych i Wszystkich Zmarłych oraz o nowej książce w mojej “miniaturowej” biblioteczce. Inspirations. Inspiracje.

For the last few days we had a beautiful weather. So we did a lot of walking. Yes, of course I had my camera with me and took some pictures not only of beautiful nature.

Here is an example of something really rusty. Yes, I know we have an Expert of rustying miniatures on blogland .... but maybe she'll like it too?;)

I must have mentioned once that I adore one house in Gdynia. Actually now it looks more like ruined one but my love for it is just growing the more destroyed it is.;)
Luckily for this house recently something is going on, so maybe one day I will show you pictures of renovated house... In the meantime here are some pictures of Villa God Blesses.

Parę ostatnich dni na wybrzeżu mobilizowało do spacerów przy pięknej pogodzie, ja oczywiście na spacery zabieram aparat.:) Dziś parę fotek, nie tylko pięknej przyrody. Na początek coś szalenie zardzewiałego. Myślę, że nawet bloglandowy ekspert od pordzewiałych miniatur chętnie obejrzy tę skrzynkę.;)
Chyba musiałam kiedyś wspomnieć, że darzę ciepłym uczuciem pewien dom w moim mieście. No dobrze, teraz to już bardziej ruina, ale moja miłość rośnie wraz ze stanem zniszczenia tego budynku. Na szczęście ostatnio zaczyna się tam dziać coś pozytywnego, więc może któregoś dnia pokażę Wam fotki odnowionej willi Szczęść Boże. Na koniec parę fotek pięknej jesieni.Mam nadzieję, że się Wam zdjęcia spodobają.:)

Finally: the dunes. Wydmy, w końcu.

That day we walked around 15km together.The longest way was to the dunes. It was a pleasand walk in the forest shadow with light wind.

But the dunes welcomed us with hot, muggy and very sunny weather.

As the dunes are volatile the sand moves back and forth. Wherever they move they overwhelm every plant, tree, lakes leaving dry stumps.

But if only the dunes move away just a bit, plants are ready to take over and get back the land that belonged to them before.

You can see these waves of wandering sand on this picture(and me too.LOL)

The highest dune is 42m high and it's named Góra Łęcka - Łęcka Mountain. You can walk down this mountain to the beach.

I remember once someone said it's not worth to go to The Sahara Desert when we have almost the same sea of sand over here.:)
Being here and there I can say both places are worth visiting.

The last picture of our trip was taken in Baltica Marina Yacht Club. Pretty place facing the marina, close to the beach and the centre of Łeba,good food. But I loved most the chandelier of wine bottles.;)

Ostatni wpis z wycieczki. Ogółem tego dnia przeszłyśmy około 15km. W większości szło nam się dobrze, bo w cieniu i z lekkim wiaterkiem. Najgorsza była gwałtowna zmiana pogody gdy doszłyśmy do wydm. Nieznośny upał i kompletny brak wiatru. Ponieważ wydmy są lotne, to widać jakie spustoszenie sieją gdy dotrą na teren zamieszkały przez rośliny, ale widać też jak silne są te ostatnie, bo gdy wydmy choć trochę się cofną na ich miejsce, a czasem i na nich jeszcze wyrastają trawy.
Najwyższą wydmą jest Góra Łęcka mierząca sobie 42mnpm. Można z niej zejść na plażę równie piaszczystą jak same wydmy.Ostatnie zdjęcie zrobione jest w Klubie Jachtowym Baltica Marina, pięknie położony, blisko wszędzie, z widokiem na marinę i dobrym jedzeniem. Mnie jednak najbardziej podobał się "żyrandol" z butelek po winie.:)Mam nadzieję, że relacja z podróży po naszym pięknym kraju się Wam podobała.
