This and that. To i tamto.

Again it's been more than month since my last post. Hope you don't mind my silence, at least I am trying to comment your posts regularly. ;)

Today's post is about various things, hopefully it will be interesting for you all.:) Or actually it is most about my last inspiration or "wows". :)

First as most of my blogging friends know I always admire Betsy's painting skills so when I saw these photos I thought she and all of you may like them. The first one shows a piece of ceiling of the teutonic order's castle in Malbork, Poland.

See even if it was a christian order they believed in unicorns and dragons. ;)
This photo is from the church in Lublin, Poland too. It reminded me about Betsy's saints in miniature. :)

My latest "wow" in miniature: Charles Matton works.

And here are a couple of photos of latest miniatures that were made by me and went to their new homes.

Nothing new really. ;)

Na początek zachwyty trochę zainspirowane malarskimi zdolnościami Betsy: jednorożec na suficie w malborskim zamku i piękny sufit ze świętymi w jednym z kościołów w Lublinie.

Kolejne zdjęcia to prace Charles'a Matton'a - mój ostatni zachwyt miniaturowy. :)

A na koniec mebelki z mojej pracowni, które już pojechały do nowych domów.

Mam nadzieję, że taki post się Wam spodoba i mam również nadzieję niedługo pokazać coś ciekawego. ;)

I've been a bad blogger this year and since I am not sure if I will be better soon, and also because for us over here tomorrow evening is the most important and most beautiful part of Christmas Holidays - Christmas Eve dinner - let me wish already today a very merry Christmas to you and your Families and Friends and also may this incoming New Year be a good, healthy and full of love to you all. :)

New Pieces from me.:) Nowe miniaturki ode mnie.:)

I know I've been neglecting this blog lately and again all I can say I will do my best to post more often. Right. No promises by the way, lol!

Anyway I think you noticed I opened Etsy shop lately (link on the left side) and I am trying to put there new miniatures from time to time. I wanted to share some new pieces with you too.

This is my washstand "full set".  I did quite a lot re-modeling and even carving it, and I am pleased how it turned out. Of course I wish myself it sells quickly but if it won't sell I won't be too worried as I finally know how the bathroom in my dollshouse will look like after I overhaul it one day. So I may as well use this piece in my bathroom.;)

This is one of orders I completed last month. I hope some of you recognize these chairs? ;)

This little Paris tray was again inspired by the photo I found on internet.

Chest of drawers was also re-modeled and hand painted by me. I know I am not a good painter, lol! I did the handles too.

And this is no 6 of the sewing table which has just arrived to it's new owner in Germany.:)

Wiem, że się ostatnio zaniedbuję w postach i jedyne co mogę napisać to to, że się poprawię. Ale obiecywać tego nie będę. ;)

Myślę, że zauważyliście iż oprócz własnego sklepiku otworzyłam również sklepik na Etsy (link po lewej stronie bloga) i staram się tam dodawać nowe miniatury co jakiś czas. Z Wami też chciałam się podzielić nowościami.

Pierwszy to mój komplet z umywalką. Całkiem sporo się przy nim napracowałam i nawet podoba mi się osiągnięty rezultat.:) Oczywiście chciałabym żeby się szybko sprzedał, ale jak się nie sprzeda, to martwić się za bardzo nie będę, bo w końcu wiem jak ma wyglądać łazienka w moim domku jak już go kiedyś zacznę remontować.;)

Kolejna fotka to skończone jedno z zamówień. Mam nadzieję, że pamiętacie te mebelki? ;)

Taca Paris została zainspirowana zdjęciem znalezionym w internecie.

Komódkę malowałam i przerabiałam osobiście. Uchwyty są również ręcznie robione.

A na koniec nr 6ty mojego niciaka, który właśnie szczęśliwie dotarł do nowej właścicielki.

Today more photos than words.
It was a very nice time and my miniatures was shown there for three days. So I was a bit worried to live them there without any guardianship, lol!  But nothing was broken or missing.

Some close-ups on miniatures ready for show - I added some details so that the pieces would be more interesting.;)

The fullfilment of the sewing table was inspired by Annie. Hope she doesn't mind.:)

I have one more "close-up" to show. But that will need a whole post to show all teeny tiny details.;)

Dziś więcej zdjęć niż słów.
Wernisaż przedłużył się do pełnych trzech dni, co spowodowało u mnie palpitację serca, bo jak to tak? Zostawić miniatury na 3 dni w obcych rękach??? ;)Na szczęście nic się nie zepsuło i nie zaginęło. A było bardzo sympatycznie.:)
Parę zbliżeń na detale, które dodałam, żeby meble były bardziej interesujące.
 Zawartość niciaka inspirowana pomysłem Annie. Mam nadzieję, że się nie pogniewa.;)

Different things in one post.;)
Sometime ago I've found an inspiring magazine called: meetings with monuments. Not every issue is interesting for me but this time I just couldn't stop staringa at this:

Isn't it a FANTASTIC building? I am charmend by all these little windows...
And guess what? It is in Poland!
This palace has a lot of luck as it has returned to it's owners - during communist times most of this kind of  buildings were annected by government and usually used without thinking of taking care of them, many of them are gone for good...  And the owners decided to turn it into exclusive hotel. Well, for sure they will have a lot of work and need a lot of money.

Another news is this diorama of Gdynia in recently open InfoBox.

And last but not least: for dear Friends(you know who you are!!! ;)) who asked about offsprings. ;)
Here is cradle no 3 and sewing table no 2. They are on their way to Belgium and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will be liked "alive".;)

Różne sprawy w jednym poście.;)
Całkiem niedawno odkryłam inspirujący dwumiesięcznik o nazwie Spotkania z Zabytkami - nie każdy numer jest ciekawy (dla mnie), ale od ostatniego nie mogłam oderwać wzroku. Tylko spójrzcie na ten budynek! To jest pałac.... w Guzowie.
Na jego szczęście właściciele, którzy go odzyskali planują odnowienie pałacu i przekształcenie go w ekskluzywny hotel. Trochę to potrwa, ale budynek na pewno wart jest i wysiłku, i kasy.

Kolejne fotki to plan Gdyni w nowo otwartym  InfoBoxie. Na fotkach "moja" okolica i dworzec Główny wraz z budynkiem Sądu.

Na ostatniej fotce kołyska nr 3 i niciak nr 2, które właśnie podróżują do nowego domu w Belgii. Trzymam mocno kciuki, żeby na żywo również  podobały się nowej właścicielce.:)

A Sewing Table. Niciak.

So first thing first: this is a prototype and yes, I've found photo in my lately most favourite book. ;)

A prototype means this table will stay with me, just like every miniature made by me and  called by me this way.;)

So the real table is from XIX century, I changed the shape of slat between the legs and needed to invent the interior of the table as it wasn't shown on the picture.

The making of this table taught me a lot. I had some problems where I thought they might had been and where I didn't expect them at all! For example the table top was re-painted several times as I was not happy with the result...  Hard even to say I am happy with it now but since it will stay with me I may say I like it.;)

I tried several new things here too. Made the box of the table using dovetail joints - of course I didn't take any pictures during the making but if you look closer you will see it I think.
Again I tried to make carvings - I still must practice a LOT to achieve the results I would simply like.:)
And I need to find out how to hide the hinges in such a small piece so that all sides of the table would look equally charming.:)

Anyway here is my first ever sewing table. Hope you will like it! Please let me know what you think of it!

Niciak, czyli stół do szycia, popularny w XIX wieku stolik ze skrytką na igły, nici i takie tam. Ten jest prototypem - co oznacza, że zostanie ze mną. I oczywiście powstał na podstawie zdjęcia z mojej ulubionej ostatnio książki.:)
Zbudowanie tego stolika dużo mnie nauczyło. Miałam parę dylematów tam gdzie myślałam, że będą i tam gdzie się ich w ogóle nie spodziewałam, np.: przemalowywałam blat dobrych parę razy - zdzierając farbę do surowego drewna, bo nie byłam zadowolona z rezultatu. Teraz też nie jestem, ale skoro stolik ze mną zostaje to...może być. ;)
Spróbowałam paru nowych rzeczy: skrzynka pod blatem została połączona złączami wczepowymi. Oczywiście nie zrobiłam zdjęć w trakcie pracy, ale jak się dobrze przyjrzycie to pewnie je zobaczycie.;)
Znów popróbowałam snycerki, ale tu jeszcze długa droga przede mną do takiego rezultatu jakbym chciała. No i muszę znaleźć sposób ukrycia zawiasów, żeby każda strona tak małego mebla była równie czarująca.;)
