I think she's finally finished completely..Chyba jest już całkiem gotowa...

I think so. Well, I hope so anyway. For now I am quite pleased with all the changes so maybe this is her final look.;)

As you may remember sometime ago I decided to change her make-up . While doing that I completely destroyed her flower hair decoration. Truth is these tiny dry real flowers had no stems at all and just one not careful touch made them falling apart... I left the doll with her "broken" flowers for sometime but I was still thinking of Sans comment about dry flowers..;) I looked through my stash and found out I still had a few of these whole flowers left. I didn't want them to fall apart again so I thought about a fabric band with the flowers on.

Thinking they would last longer as full flowers I used  bit of clear nail polish. But except for giving them a look of fake flowers I didn't make them stronger. At one moment the doll decided to collapse and a few petals were gone...good I had a few more in a box.

 When I was gluing the petals again I thought the band had too big gaps between flowers. So I added two of very delicate dry plant's parts - twigs maybe? At the beginning I added two - one on each side but then I got carried away and this is why you see so many of the twigs among flowers.;)

 I had to change her bouquet as the pink roses didn't match the flowers in her hair. The dress is just at it was more than two years ago. I only added a veil to it.:)

Let me also thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the comments to my last post! They made me feel better and wanting to re-build Snape's Office one day.:) Thank you so much!



Chyba ją całkiem już skończyłam. Po zmianie makijażu, przy którym zniszczyłam jej ozdoby we włosach, postanowiłam naprawić szkody. Na szczęście znalazłam jeszcze takie same kwiatki i tym razem zrobiłam jej opaskę we włosach a do niej przykleiłam kwiatki. Szczerze pisząc nie na wiele to się zdało, bo gdy mi się panna przewróciła i z nowych kwiatków odpadło parę płatków.:( Dobrze, że jeszcze miałam parę w zapasie. Suche "gałązki" zapełniły przerwy pomiędzy kwiatkami. Dodałam też welon i zmieniłam bukiet na bardziej pasujący do kwiatów we włosach

Trials and errors... Próby i błędy...

After a year and a half I have dared to try painting a doll's face again... I do hope none of you remebers my awful "make-ups" for two dolls which took part in Minidolllist's Grand Astoria Hotel Project, lol!
I know they were awful...I wasn't able to try again having them constantly in front of my eyes,lol!
Finally I've decided to give it a try. Not wanting to paint it too strong I used pastels. Here is the result so far....

Yes I know...the dried flowers are so dried they just crumble out themselves...
Of course this is not a permanent make-up but I am really curious about your opinion of it, please.:)



Po półtorej roku przerwy zdecydowałam się na zmianę nieszczęsnego makijażu jednej z lalek, które malowałam na Grand Astoria Project dla Minidolllist. Mam nadzieję, że nikt nie pamięta tego koszmarku....ja miałam go cały czas przed oczami.;) Tym razem malowałam pastelami. Powyżej tymczasowy rezultat. Tak wiem...suszone kwiatki całkiem już samoistnie odpadły...;) Co myślicie o takiej wersji lalkowego makijażu?

Grand Astoria Hotel Project entrance no3

Well just as I wrote before I didn't win. Not surprisingly really, they were my first dressed up dolls so I didn't expect any of them to win.;) Here are the results. As far as I know both Kathi and Lucie make dolls for years so their dresses were just superb and they deserved it.:)As you see there were only 1st places picked up.
Anyway I will show you my fantasy dress as I promissed:) This is the inspiration, Thierry Mugler's dress of 1995.

And my version of it.

Glad you didn't see her first haircut! I couldn't cope with the strands! They didn't want to glue to the doll's head so she landed up with really big head. She stood in front of me for a few weeks and I didn't know what to do with her. Finally I took the scissors and cut the hair off!

And I also made a pair of little shoes - as you can see they are smaller than the originally sculpted ones.:)

Oczywiscie nie wygrałam.;) Z tego co napisała Dana sędziowie mieli tak różne opinie, że udało się wybrać tylko pierwsze miejsca.:) Wygrały piękne kreacje. Kathi i Lucie robią lalki profesjonalnie nic dziwnego więc, że ich sukienki były najładniejsze.:) Tak czy siak jak obiecałam tak pokazuję Wam ostatnią sukienkę na GAHP czyli sukienkę fantazyjną. Tym razem inspiracją była kreacja Thierrego Muglera z 1995r. A nie mówiłam,że ten makijaż jest jeszcze gorszy od pierwszego?;) Dobrze, że nie widzielicie pierwszej fryzurki tej lalki. Zupełnie nie mogłam sobie poradzić z włosami, nie chciały się przykleić do porcelany i w końcu lalka miała na głowie ogromną fryzurę....Tak sobie stała przede mną przez parę tygodni, a ja nie wiedziałam co mam z nią zrobić...W końcu wzięlam nożyczki i obcięłam te nieszczęsne włosy. Zrobiłam też maleńkie buciki - jak widać są mniejsze od oryginalnie wyrzeźbionych w porcelanie:)Strój nazywa się Viva Las Vegas.;)

Lorraine's give-away home! :D

Some time ago to my complete surprise I won dear Lorraine's from DFLY Creations give-away. I asked her to make a wand for Severus and a newspaper from the second part of the HP movie serie.
The box is absolutely beautiful! How did you know Lorraine that one of my favouirite colours are green and black?:D

And the wand is just exactly like the one on the pictures you can find on the web.

It is absolutely little perfection and so beautifully adorned!!
And look at all of these newspapers! WOW! I love miniprinties and I am so thrilled to get so many newspapers! They are just great! You can even read them!

I love the quality of the photos!

AND I have almost whole HP history in these little newspapers!!!!:D

Wczoraj dotarły do mnie moje, wygrane w give-away u Lorraine, fantastyczne miniatury! Odtąd Snape ma już swoją własną różdżkę - wzór zaczerpnięty jest z rysunków znalezionych w internecie.:) Lorraine dodała do niej specjalne pudełeczko i jakos tak nawet udało się jej wpasować z kolorami, bo i zielony i czarny to jedne z moich ulubionych.;)Severus ma też teraz co poczytać:)Poprosiłam Lorraine o jedną gazetę, którą widać w jednej ze scen drugiej częsci HP, a ona przysłała mi gazety z każdego roku historii HP!!!! Uwielbiam drukowane miniatury więc możecie sobie wyobrazić moją radosć na widok tych wszystkich magazynów, które w dodatku da się poczytać i pooglądać!:D
Wiem, że winna Wam jestem jeszcze pokazanie ostatniej lalki na GAHP. Postaram się ją zapostować jutro, ale już dzis możecie zobaczyć wszystkie startujące kreacje w linkach powyżej. W każdej kategorii startuje 30 sukienek więc konkurencja jest spora.;) Niektóre są naprawdę piękne!Biedni sędziowie! ;)

The Grand Astoria Project - entrance 2

My second entrance for GAHP is a little black dress.
First of all I have to write that this time I got the doll without....a head! I was soo surprised and stunt and completely lost about the project without the head first. ;) Lucky me, Dana sent me a head later. And boy, I was so happy beacause I got it with a beautiful make-up painted by Dana herself!:D Not to mention the make-up is just perfect for the clothing I was thinking about!
Since the very beginning I knew that I wanted the little black dress to be Dita von Teese's 40's style. Of course not the clothing she wears on the stage but, lets say, privately in the streets. ;) And again the idea was a simple dress with a deep narrow cleavage finished with lots of roses on the back of the dress. But together with the doll I got this beautiful handkerchief adorned with the most beautiful antique lace I've ever seen so I just HAD TO use the lace in the project.:) This dress has taught me that taffeta and glue are not made for each other and the first dress landed in trashes;) It's also taught me that the stocking's seam should be really teeny tiny, not as fat as mine ;) And that the nets are very very delicate thing. Here is how the dress looks like.

The black bag was made by me in January just to try if I am able to make one.;)
The hat was something I was thinking about since the very beginning but it also helped me to cover bad bad hair. ;)

I didn't plan to change doll's shoes but by then Dana decided that there would be also a shoes competition so I decided to give it a try. The shoes' shape and the buskin are made of kind of plasticine. I had a lot of fun making them.:)

The poncho was also fun to make and it suits the shoes!;)

Drugą sukienką na GAHP jest mała czarna. Od początku wiedziałam, że chcę żeby była ona w stylu strojów Dity von Teese - oczywiscie nie tych scenicznych, ale tych, w których chodzi sobie powiedzmy prywatnie po ulicach.:) Miała to być bardzo prosta siukienka z wąskim długim dekoltem na plecach, ozdobionym różami. Ale oczywiscie projekt musiał ulec zmianie. Po pierwsze lalka przyszła do mnie bez...głowy, co wprawiło mnie w ogromne osłupienie i nie bardzo wiedziałam co robić dalej! Na szczęcie Dana dosłała mi głowę, w dodatku przez nią samą pomalowaną! Uff! Chociaż jedna będzie ładna!;) A kiedy zobaczyłam kolor makijażu to znów się ucieszyłam, bo do stylu lat 40tych jest wprost wymarzony!:)Wraz z lalką dostałam też trochę materiałów, a między nimi chusteczkę wykończoną fantastyczną koronką, którą oczywiscie musiałam użyć w projekcie. Koronkę, nie chusteczkę ;) Stąd oczywicie strój jest zupełnie inny niż ten początkowo wymyslony.;) Ten strój nauczył mnie, że połączenie tafty i kleju jest raczej do bani, i że szfy w tak majeńkich pończoszkach powinny być zrobione z cieniusienkiej niteczki oraz że siateczka, która "robi" u mnie za pończoszki jest baaardzo delikatna. ;) Torbę już pokazywałam chyba zimą na moim polskim blogu i cieszę się, że moglam ją wykorzystać w tym projekcie. Kapelusz jest też częscią garderoby, która byla planowana od początku, w dodatku pomogl mi on ukryć naprawdę źle zrobione uczesanie. Bucików nie zamierzałam zmieniać, ale własnie wtedy Dana ogłosiła, że w ramach projektu będzie też konkurs butów, więc postanowiłam spróbować. Buciki są zrobione z modeliny oklejonej materiałem, a koturn dodatkowo został pomalowany lakierem do paznokci. ;) Mysl o poncho towarzyszyła mi od chwili gdy zobaczyłam materiał w zwierzęcy wzorek.:)Myslę, że jest fajnym uzupelnieniem stroju. NO i pasuje do butów.;)

Grand Astoria Hotel Project

The Grand Astoria Hotel Project is a fun for the Minidolllist's members. And because of it I decided that I will bore you, for a week, with the mini dolls I owe, starting from this project entrances. ;)
For all that don't know what Minidolllist is, it is one of probably the biggest forums for minidollmakers, collectors or just fans and friends, created and leaded by absolutely marvelous Lady and one of the most generous Persons I know, Dana Burton. More about this forum you can read at the Minidolllist's website. :)
I was reading and watching great creations that were shown there for years. I bought two of Dana's famous doll kits years ago also. But this year, thanks to Dana, one of my blog's fiends and me were included into list's RAK programme, what let us try to make our own dolls or at least paint and dress them up.;) Well, me actually, as my friend, Zofianna is a very talented doll's dress designer.:)
As it was not enough Dana asked me months ago if I wanted to take part in Designer Runaway show. I wanted, although I wasn't sure if I was able to make anything interesting.
Well, the results of this project are to be announced this Saturday. I am not counting on winning anything because there are a lot of talented ladies that took part in it. All the entrances you can see here.
A desinger was supposed to prepare three dresses: a wedding dress, a little black dress and a fantasy dress.
My suite, no48, is called "the Copernicus' Heavenly Stars - Elegance and Class with a drop of Madness". Here is my first entrance - the wedding dress. Actually it was supposed to be completely different dress but I had to use the doll kit I'd got from the List's friends, so I have chosen this dress to suit the kit;) Don't be frightened by doll's make up - it was my first doll painting and I am affraid the second one, I will show you later,is much worse than this one.
The inspiration I found in Polish magazine called Panna Młoda - the Bride. This is Ian Stuart dress called Nell from his Belle Epoque collection.

I was lucky to see this dress first on the photo above, because official photo on Ian Stuart's website is not good for this dress in my opinion. You can't see the shapes of the woman and the beauty of this dress below.

And here is my wedding dress inspired by Nell model - the doll's mold is by a wonderful Dutch artist Annemarie Kwikkel.



And the description I sent together with the photo:
"We present our wedding dress model: Nelless - our One-Day-Princess! The dress is made of: satin, antique lace and organza. The Swarovski crystals necklace, dried spring flowers and bouquet of fresh pink roses with hearts of pearls are the perfect complement to this dream dress of every romantic Bride."

Ostrzegam lojalnie, że przez najbliższy tydzień będzie tylko o lalkach jakie są w moim posiadaniu:) Dzis prezentuję pierwszą z trzech sukni, które przygotowałam na zabawę zorganizowaną na stronie Minidolllist, pod nazwą Grand Astoria Hotel Project. Zasadą było zaprojektowanie 3 sukini: slubnej, małej czarnej i fantazyjnej, na początkowo czerwcowy, a teraz już lipcowy pokaz mody. Wyniki będą ogłoszone w tą sobotę, oczywiscie nie liczę na wygraną, ale fajnie się bawiłam szukając inspiracji i wymyslając stroje dla trzech lalek. Suknia slubna inspirowana jest suknią projektu Iana Stuarta, model Nell z jego kolekcji Belle Epoque. Miałam sporo szczęscia trafiając najpierw na zdjęcie tego modelu w magazynie Panna Młoda - jakos tak, skojarzył mi się z wąską modą wiktoriańską i ładnie podkresla kobiece kształty. Dużo później znalazłam na stronie Iana Stuarta oficjalne zdjęcie tego modelu i...prawie nie poznałam kiecki! Uważam, że to zdjęcie zrobiło krzywdę tej sukence, bo na nieco bezkształtnej modelce wogóle nie widać jej kształtu;) Lalka ubrana w sukienkę to mold mojej ulubionej artystki Annemarie Kwikkel. Proszę, nie przestraszcie się makijażu, ale po raz pierwszy w życiu malowałam lalkę wogóle. Ze wstydem muszę przyznać, że druga, którą malowałam nieco później, wygląda jeszcze gorzej... Sukienka jest częsciowa klejona i częsciowo szyta, zrobiona z satyny, koronki, organzy, ozdobiona najmniejszymi jakie udało mi się znaleźć kryształkami Svarovskiego i suszonymi kwiatkami. Mój "dom mody" nazywa się: Niebiańskie Gwiazdy Kopernika, elegancja i klasa z odrobiną szaleństwa;)
