The Little Blue Rhapsody. Mała błękitna rapsodia.

So finally one of W.I.P. is finished.:)

Somehow I really like little spaces to put a miniature scene in lately.;)

Except for the candles that were gift from Sans! everything is made by me this time.;)
Floor made of scrapbooking paper , cut into squares, glued on cardboard, cut out again, slightly lightened with white acrylic paint and varnished, as usual, with transparent nail polish. Added gray fugue too.

The curtains are made of Indian silk and cheap shawls in two colours.

All furniture you could see in previous posts about the rainbow coffee tables, Chinese furniture set and little lantern.

The only thing you haven't seen before is a vase for roses. It suits here perfectly. But it made me thinking about the name of this project for a while. The vase is made of a sample of perfume which isn't called blue rhapsody at all. ;)

So where is this scene put in?

Hope you will like it, becuse I have another lantern like this to fill in! LOL!

Inspired by....no1 Inspiracje cz 1

Don’t know about you, dear Friends and Followers but I seem to be kind of very influential person sometimes, and someone’s sincere love for something just might make me be interested in the same thing.;) Or at least might want to know more about.

Seeing this photo most of you will probably know that this furniture’s make-over was inspired by … Sans’ love for India. It’s because of her I am droping the Indian shops in(there are all 2 of them in Gdynia;))quite often, looking around and thinking what or how could I use anything that’s there in our hobby. One day I bought two big pillowcases. It was quite long ago, I have to admit. You have no idea how many ideas I was thinking about cutting them ...into pieces and ... nothing! Couldn’t find a good idea for them!LOL!

And finally when I picked up another piece of furniture from already-well-known-Chinese-set I knew what to do with the pillowcase! It was so easy! And make-over was too;)

This time I didn’t cut out any parts of original table. I only upholstered it with the piece of pillowcase and fringe I got from Sans sometime ago and made some carvings.

These are really hard to photograph. Can you see the flowers? O.K. I am admitting I didn’t carve the wood. Am not that brave just yet.;) Again it was Sans who inspired me how to make them. She made this awesome box not that long ago and I used different media for it - pieces of old cotton lace were glued to the wood then painted with acrylic paint and strengthened with transparent nail polish.

And as you can see this seating suits to 1:12 bed quite perfectly now.:)

Thank you Sans for inspiring me so many times!

And hope you all like this make-over too!

Zwłaszcza jeśli ktoś kocha swoje hobby wtedy i ja mam ochotę poznać te zainteresowania albo chociaż dowiedzieć się o nich czegoś więcej. Wykorzystałam tylko innego rodzaju ozdoby, a konkretnie kawałki bawełnianej koronki, którą przykleiłam do drewna, pomalowałam farbą akrylową i wzmocniłam bezbarwnym lakierem do paznokci.

An arm-chair make-over no2. Drugi fotel.

Just to remind you how it originally looked like here is the same photo as in part no1.;)

This time I decided to cut out even more than last time. Maybe even too much...;) Also was trying to carve anything in the wood. And finally know for sure: I + fabrics = war - in which they usually win with me.:( You really don't want to know how much of fabrics is usualy waisted when I try to make with them something.... So to everyone of you who sew, crotchet, upholster, make little furry animals, etc: I envy you from the bottom of my heart!!!;D Honestly, my admiration for all of you is growing anytime I have to cut, sew, upholster or do anything else with fabrics. Really!
Anyway I hope you will like the result.:)

And Sans, I really don't know which scale these furniture are in any more. Seems to me they are a bit too small for 1:12 and too big for 1:24....

An armchair make-over no1.

Dear Betsy has asked me lately if I do anything with miniatures nowadays. I am happy to say: actually I do!;) Here is the first post for a long time only about miniatures;)and I do hope to show you what I am working on soon.
Remember the puzzle furniture that Kristy once showed on her fab blog?(Does anyone know what is with Kristy anyway?) They reminded me about cheap furniture kits made in China that one can buy here quite easly. One of the kits is a living room set which includes sofa, two tables and two armchairs - that look like this.

Or they are supposed to look like above but it is rather hard to put them together - the holes are much too big for furniture to look nice without any additional work. But they seem to be good as the base for some changes. So I tried my chances and cut many parts away, then I had to fill the gaps in....

...then polish it up....

...and paint it once....

...and twice....

...then it was a time for upholstery and of course you can see the furniture suddenly got "older";)

Still it wasn't ready. I was looking at it for a long time and finally knew it needed a small addition....And here it is ready!

Hope you like the new-old armchair! And yes, the second one is something I am just working on...;)
