"Happy is (s)he who, like Ulysses, has travelled far...."

A glass madness.

I promissed myself I won't order anything more this year. It's the time to find gifts for Christmas. But I have to admit, I have weaknesses. Too many of them in fact.;) Miniature's prints are one of them, glass miniatures are the other. Wandering around Etsy and, as usual looking for something completely differend, I found glass bottles. The glass bottles. And gone mad about them!:)
The shop's name is Kiva Ford. This is also the name of the glass artisan. He creates hand blown glass goblets(beautiful!), glass pendants, art glass, glass ornaments and miniature bottles. And lately even the laboratory equpement. I could have all of them. But you know how it is....So I bought these two....only.:)

I probably was one of their first international customers because they were selling only to U.S. when I found them.;) The bottles are a bit too big to 1:12 scale but soooo beautiful, so I don't mind that.:) The vase with the long neck has got a beautiful pattern at the bottom.

And this amethyst bottle is just right for Snape's office as one of the big bottles one keeps potions before pouring to the handy bottles or jars.;)

If you haven't been there yet, go to Kiva Ford's Etsy shop, I am sure you will like it there!

Thank you so much Kiva and Andrea!! I am really happy to have these unique miniatures home!!

The bottles are divine Ewa! I had a look at the website...they are miniature's as opposed to 1/12th miniatures. Don't worry though, Apothecary's and the like have HUGE bottles for storing larger quantities of potions and ingredients. What a wonderful find and thank YOU for sharing. :o))

There's a wonderful quote by Oscar Wilde saying that the best way to get rid of a temptation is to surrender to it... ;O) Don't be to hard with yourself, you only bought two things at that store, that's great, victory of a strong mind, see it as a triomph - lol. I really understand why these wonderful glass miniatures had to travel to Poland.

Have a nice weekend - and I'll wait impatiently what your next treasure find will be.

Beautiful Glass, I don't think it matters if they are not 1:12th scale. They will fit in Snape's office perfectly. xxx

I agree with Debbie. When it comes to vases, even my real life ones are often oversize . I love them big. :) and I definitely love yours. Be sure to tacky wax them down. They look fragile!

How did I miss these 3 post?? :):)

Thank you Sans! But they aren't, well the black-blue one isn't, it is made of the glass that has been strenghtened and it should not be easy to break.;)They will be secured anyway just to be certain ;)
