The Metal Nail Jewelery

Remember? I mentioned this kind of nail jewelery some posts ago. Here is what I made of it.
Here are more details. The Flame Book part I ;) The Flame Book part II :)
The Snake Book ;)
And some magic book
The last one is definately not going to be in Severus' office - I think he would get sick if he saw all these flowers.... Can you read the name of the city? If not then I better write it;) The title of the book is "Paris" :)

The next lot of jars, the lamp, the fireplace etc.

Today I am showing to you the next lot of jars and bottles I have collected so far for my project:
These bottles above are collected by my (almost) whole family for me:) The glass jars are after some SPA fluid from one of the cosmetic companies that sells its' products by travelling agents. The taller bottles are perfume bottles and the white cans are after some medicines. As you all can see I haven't done anything with them except for collecting:) I need to remove the signs, so if anyone knows how to remove them from the glass jars I will be verry happy to learn it!:) Below the "phials" and the "vinaigrettes" I made myself, of beads and metal jewelery parts (the ones from my last post) :) I really like them!:)
And here are the next lamp and the fireplace I bought at Emporium. On this photo they are lying on the board, that's going to be the base of the office.
The reason why I have chosen this one fireplace over the others, is its' height. It measures 153mm of height, so it is a perfect one for Remus Lupin to come to Severus' office usig Floo powder without any problems and efforts.;)

Some "silvers"

First of all a very warm WELCOME to all my new Followers! Witam wszystkich polskich Obserwatorów bardzo serdecznie! I hope you all will spend a good time here!
Next thing is a big big thank you to Zofianna for all the awards! As they almost all are in Polish I pass them to Anais for her efforts in creating her completely own dolls in 1:12 scale:)
Today I want to show you some silver stuff I decided Severus needs in his office - ok, I do not really know if he would like to have any of them in his office, but hey! that's my project, so he has nothing to say about it anyway;-) So I start with some stuff you could see in one of my former posts and I bought them in Valerie Claire Miniatures:
The balance is a bit out of scale I think but it will look ok if I put it somewhere on the shelf:)
And now the candles and candlesticks I made myself:)

And because on the photograph above I put one candlestick upside down here is how it shoul look like:

The candles are made of real candle's wax and black thread and candlesticks are of metal jewelery parts. Here is also cake stand made of metal jewelery parts and..metal button:)

You can see more metal jewelery parts on above photo too - I will use them later:)

The perfect lamp ;)

Again something I was searching for the long time for! I wanted the desk's lamp to be similar to the one in the movie and couldn't find it! Almost lost hope completely ;)And then I found it. A perfect lamp for my project! Here it is:

I love every detail of it!

I found it at the Mountain Miniatures. I have to admit: for me the lamp WAS expencive and the shipping....even more! Good thing about it - except for being a perfect lamp of course ;) - was a really fast delivery :) Need to repaint it, I know :)

Bottles and jars

First of all a very warm WELCOME to all of my new Followers! I am so happy such talented people follow my modest blog! Welcome! Hope you will all have "sunny hours" watching it;)
Secondly I have to admit I need some free time from my work to get properly started with this project and I hope I will have a short holidays in March. Then I will post more often - I promise! :)
And today a few words of bottles and jars - I need them really in "rather" big number and since now I've collected some ;)
Here I go:

These are the first bottles and the jar I have got in my "collection". The green round bottle is a perfume one I have got for years now - I never knew what perfume was inside because when I got it the perfume with it's fragrance was already gone ;)The jar is from some medicine and I do not remember where the red jelly is from but it looks so nice inside ;)

The jars and perfume bottles on the left are from Cotton Ridge Designs, small and the smallest "bottles" on the right are beads remade to pretend real bottles ;)

This great stuff above is from Valerie Claire Miniatures and so are the labels:

And here is the first lot of fullfilled and labeled bottles and jars ready to put them on the shelfs (that are not existing yet ;)
:)

The door and the window

After months of searching for the right door and the right window I finally realized I need to change the phrase I used for searching from the arch door into...the gothic door. This time I found a proper door and a proper window almost at once! Here they are:

Found them at Bromley craft. The door needs to be remade into one wing door. And the window - well it is "a bit" too big for the dungeon but since I plan there will be the only one window I think it will be fine.

Close up of my books

A big thank you for my first Followers! I never thought I will have even one! Welcome!:)
I've made better picture of my books with paper pages, so here it is:

At first I thought there are enough books for Severus' office, after all there shoud be a lot of jars in it, but I have just found great jewellery to make some more interesting covers. Nail metal jewellery that is. I really don't know if I would like to have something like that on my own nails, but there is something in saying you never know where you can find anything useful for miniatures ;) I will show you it as soon as my order will finally come to me. Our post office is really working soooo sloooow...

The Cauldron

I guess everything started with this small, black cauldron.

I saw it at www.oaktreedollshouseminiatures.com and I just knew it is a must have for me :) I do not remember if I was thinking of Snape's office yet. Sill, I needed to buy the cauldron "right now!" :) Then I remember I started to make books of wood, maybe a bit primitive way of making books ;) but they were the very first books that I made myself. I gave them the skin covers in different colours. The covers look as the books were already used and old.

I must say I liked them until I saw books made by Ericka Van Horn from EV Miniatures I have absolutely gone mad about her books and wizardy stuff! She has inspired me so much, so before I ordered her artwork I had changed the way of making my own books, so here you see the books with paper pages and some "jewlery" on the top of covers.

Finally I bought these beautiful printed papers and the Gost Face Book from her. Great stuff, don't you think?
