"Happy is (s)he who, like Ulysses, has travelled far...."

This and that. To i tamto.

Again it's been more than month since my last post. Hope you don't mind my silence, at least I am trying to comment your posts regularly. ;)

Today's post is about various things, hopefully it will be interesting for you all.:) Or actually it is most about my last inspiration or "wows". :)

First as most of my blogging friends know I always admire Betsy's painting skills so when I saw these photos I thought she and all of you may like them. The first one shows a piece of ceiling of the teutonic order's castle in Malbork, Poland.

See even if it was a christian order they believed in unicorns and dragons. ;)
This photo is from the church in Lublin, Poland too. It reminded me about Betsy's saints in miniature. :)

My latest "wow" in miniature: Charles Matton works.

And here are a couple of photos of latest miniatures that were made by me and went to their new homes.

Nothing new really. ;)

Hope you will like this post and also hope to post something interesting soon. :)

Dziś post o tym i owym. A właściwie o moich ostatnich "ochach i achach". :)

Na początek zachwyty trochę zainspirowane malarskimi zdolnościami Betsy: jednorożec na suficie w malborskim zamku i piękny sufit ze świętymi w jednym z kościołów w Lublinie.

Kolejne zdjęcia to prace Charles'a Matton'a - mój ostatni zachwyt miniaturowy. :)

A na koniec mebelki z mojej pracowni, które już pojechały do nowych domów.

Mam nadzieję, że taki post się Wam spodoba i mam również nadzieję niedługo pokazać coś ciekawego. ;)

Thank you for these beautiful photos - the miniaturist's work is stunning, but the interior photos of the churches are breathtaking. Yes, it's almost impossible not to think of Betsy when looking at murals like these... and I agree, I wouldn't expect these motifs in a christian building either... but they are really beautiful. And speaking of beautiful - great to hear you had to made more of your wonderful pieces of furniture!

Wow! WOW!!! Ewa, you Know I Love Love Love those painted ceilings!!! The unicorns one is so delicate and pretty, but the one with the Saints is Awesome!!! (And I am sure you know I visit more than once or twice to your post about the "Mariaki" church.... sorry I have probably spelled it wrong!) I will be studying this new picture closely because there are still empty spots on the Chapel Ceiling of my Castle Dollhouse... and I am always looking for the inspirations for more!
As for the creations of Charles Matton... I agree that they are stunning! So hard to believe they are not Real life size!
But I cannot forget the pieces you make either! Yes, I Love my little cradle... and someday the room for it and the "family" that own it will get made so I can display it properly! And every time I see your sewing tables I say to myself that I must get you to make me one too! Your work is beautiful... and you are getting more talented and skilled with everything you make!
(And I always look forward to seeing more of what you are making!!!)

I'm awed! The paintings on the ceilings are breathtaking. Your photos are amazing in catching the colors and details. I hope one day to be able to see all this
in person.
Thank you also for sharing the art of Charles Matton. He really is a master miniaturist.
Your work is also worth a lot of Wows. I love the cradles, but most of all your sewing tables.
Hugs, Drora
