Mirror, mirrror, on the wall... Lustereczko powiedz przecie...

I had ordered plain mirrors to one of my projects but finally I didn't use them. So their time had come a while ago and I made them woodden frames.

This one has the whole frame and an ornament carved by me and the frame is gilted.

 And that one I am sure most of you had seen before. :)

 

 

That was a gift for Brigit. :)

Both mirrors went to their new homes some time ago but I may make a frame or two more one day. ;)

Zamówiłam te "szkiełka" lustrzane jakiś czas temu, do jednego z moich projektów, ale w końcu się w nim nie znalazły.
Jednak ich czas w końcu nadszedł i zrobiłam do nich drewniane ramki.


Pierwsza rama jest ręcznie rzeźbiona, również ozdobnik jest przeze mnie wyrzeźbiony. Rama jest też pozłocona.

A drugie lustro na pewno już widzieliście.:)
 To był prezent dla Brigit. :)

Oba lustra powędrowały już do swoich nowych domów, ale pewnie jeszcze zrobię nie-jedną ramę. ;)

In Black. W czerni.

As it seems miniature and non miniature houses are rather full of shabby chic mania, whites and/or delicate pastel colours lately I was quite surprised to get not one but two requests in which main colour is black.

One of the request was quite unusual to me as I was asked to make a modern washstand with two sinks and mirrors. Colours, wallpaper and measurements were chosen and given to me so I had to make everything right.

The sinks were the hardest part for me as I am not usually working with any clay and I waisted quite a lot of it before I figured it out the less work put in making them is ... better! LOL! 

I hand made it all except for the mirrors. But if I had let's say 20 days more for making the whole thing I would try to make the frames for them by myself.

The other request was something I did two or three times before. Only this time I was asked to make my telephone side table in glossy black. It was not an easy task to do, though.

Hope you don't mind my long absence from posting anything here and that you will like these two black miniatures! :)

Moje dwie ostatnie prace, na przekór wszech królującej bieli i pudrowym pastelom, w czerni.;)

Obie powstały na zamówienie i przyznam, że były nie lada wyzwaniem.

 Jak wiecie nowoczesne meble nie są tym czym się głównie zajmuję, ale było miło popracować w takim stylu.

Nie lada wyzwanie stanowiły dla mnie umywalki, bo generalnie nie pracuję z glinką i chyba mam też do tego za ciepłe dłonie. ;) Okazało się, że  zasada im prościej tym lepiej stosuje się też do pracy przy miniaturach. ;)

Jedyne czego nie zrobiłam w tym zamówieniu sama to lustra. Ze względu na termin oddania zamówienia nie zdążyłabym zrobić rzeźbionych ramek do luster, ale gdyby to było tak ze 20 dni więcej to z przyjemnością dałabym radę. :)

Druga praca, to znany Wam stolik pod telefon. Tym razem zażyczono sobie wykończenie w czerni na wysoki połysk.

Mam nadzieję, że obie prace się Wam spodobają. :)

An unexpected gift:)

Sometime ago I shared a few of my mini supplies with my blogging and Dollplaza's forum friend, Anais. I always admire her for making her own dolls and beautiful crochet miniatures. As I can't crochet myself, my admiration to her clothes, pillows, beddings or napkins grows with every item she makes ;) I guess she knows about it quite well.:) Today I received an unexpected gift (or gifts to be specific ;)) from her, full of her beautiful crocheted minis! Just look at that!



I love everything! The book (that opens to reveal a secret) and jars will of course be placed in Snape's office :) The beautiful little napkins, hat, dress and beddings not to mention cute teddybear will surely find their homes in my future projects.:)

Zupełnie się nie spodziewałam dzisiejszej niespodzianki od Anais. Wyobraźcie sobie więc moje zaskoczenie, gdy odebrałam na poczcie grubiutki list z Jej adresem na kopercie. Anais dobrze wie, że szalenie podobają mi się Jej szydełkowe cudeńka i zechciała się ze mną nimi podzielić. W ogóle się nie spodziewałam tylu slicznych miniaturek i do tego wykonanych przez samą Anais! Absolutnie urzekły mnie serwetki, ciuszki i mis.:) Miniaturowa książka ukrywa sekrety w swoim wnętrzu. Ona wraz ze słoiczkami trafi do gabinetu Severusa, a reszta cudownosci na pewno znajdzie miejsce w kolejnych moich projektach.
Anais niniejszym dziękuję Ci z całego serca za te cudnej urody miniaturki, cenię je tym bardziej, że jest to dzieło Twoich własnych rąk.:)

Yep, I know I should show some progress on the office to you. I really am working on detiles so there is some very slow one there.;)

Tak wiem, powinnam pisać o tym co słychać na froncie urządzania gabinetu - cos się tam dzieje, choć teraz to już raczej wykańczam detale.;) Ale dzis chciałam Wam pokazać co dostałam z okazji wygrania give-away'a u Lainie! Sama się zdziwiłam ile tych miniaturek znalazło się w przesyłce od niej!!!
Mój faworyt to skrzyneczka z kluczykami;) Są troszeczkę za duże do gabinetu, ale może je tam upchnę?;)
