New chairs straight from my workshop. Nowe krzesła prosto z mojej pracowni.

The longer I work on miniatures the more I am convinced I love working on vintage models of furniture but the less I like to work on modern pieces....

Still there is always someone who asks me to work on modern miniatures - to be honest in slowly growing Polish world of miniatures and dollshouses, modern miniatures are much more popular or even trendy than "old" ones. In fact in our FB group there are maybe 2 people who are currently working on vintage period interiors while the rest who post their works there, work only on modern ones.
After being on blogland for 4 or 5 years it is quite a phenomenon for me. Not that I have something against it but as a fan of vintage period interiors in miniature, I find it interesting.

Back to the topic: I was asked by a friend to make these chairs. They look quite simple and so it was work in wood for them but the fabric covering was completely different thing....
To be honest my friend said she loved them but I...... well, let's say I told her to throw them away with no regrets if she wouldn't like them....

I still "fight" with fabric no matter what I try to do and how patient I am trying to be.  So my admiration for all of you who can make the fabric look pretty and neat still grows. :)

Anyway I hope you will like them. Not sure if I want to repeat making them again, though.

Footstool. Podnóżek.

As promised I am showing you a hand made footstool for the padded bench.

So there are more photos than words. :)

Both pieces are finished with amber shellac.

Yup, I know it is only fabric that matches them both. ;)

Hope you will like my tiny footstool. :)

Dziś więcej zdjęć niż słów, czyli podnóżek do ławeczki.

Oba mebelki łączy ten sam materiał.

Mam nadzieję, że się Wam spodoba. :)

The Shoe Model. Modelka butów.

She is a twin sister of my sleeping half doll you may still remember.
She is not an easy going doll. ;)
For she had her own vision who(or what ;) ) she wanted to be...

I had planned her to be a gift for a friend but while I was dressing her up she didn't like what I made for her and she talked the fabric to ... not to listen to me at all, lol! So I gave up and worked with her 'half-sister' first.

Then I thought I should dress her up a bit similar to her half sister. But  the dressed doll looked like she wanted to say these laces just were so not for her. I put the doll to the box as she was with painted face, put together, with none of the hair.

And then when I made chaise longue I knew I needed something more to it.
I heard quiet knocking from that box. She looked at chaise longue and I think she liked it as suddenly she started to cooperate soooo well!
While she was sitting ready on the chaise longue she said she wants shoes. But not a pair of them ... She said she wants to have a lot of... shoes!
That's how she's became a shoe model....

Although my shoes are not perfect as yet she seems to enjoy looking at my "funny" efforts. ;)
I will use her to make removable doll shoes.:) First pairs you can see below, they are not perfect that's why the photo is small, lol!

Her skirt is made of a man's tie.
I had only a poor pieces of  viscose in few colours left which weren't enough to make her one-colour wig so she's got four colour wig. ;)

I hope you will like her and my little scene!

Trafiła więc z powrotem do pudełka.
I czekała tam sobie aż powstał szezlong. Czegoś mi do niego brakowało.

I wtedy usłyszałam ciche pukanie dochodzące z pudełka.

Dolls. Lalki.

Today's post no 2. ;)
In the meantime I was lucky to win FB  Dolls by Design opening give-away.
A winner could choose blank doll for free. ;) Happy not many people knew by then about this webpage so I was one of two or three winners. ;)

I'd chosen delicate doll Kiara by Stacy Hoffman - torso, hands and feet - but it arrived damaged.
Torso was broken in many pieces under the waist and one hand's finger was broken too. I'd written about this and got replacement's parts very fast.

Still I tried to glue pieces of the first doll's broken parts and didn't want to throw her away.  Although I had a plan for the not-broken doll I dressed up the broken one instead, lol!

Okay, let's face it, it is just a half of a doll: torso and hands but I just coudn't resist putting her- in a way - together.
So the glued broken finger is under the pillow, glued brokern torso uder the laces and there is a pillow below her waist. She's sleeping so one can form her bottom part of body the way one wants.;)

This is the first time I am kind of pleased with her make up done by myself.;)
As for the whole doll, she's waiting as my plans change all the time, lol!

This is Dana Burton's Cecilia kit. I put it together long time ago. I was not really pleased with the result but somehow she found a new home really quick.

Working on the ground.;) Przy-ziemne prace.;)

This is one of the so called miniatures I brought from Wrocław two years ago. I aged it and broke it a bit too. You can see a piece of newspaper I got it from Jennifer  torn apart and aged - sorry for it Jennifer! ;)

The jar was a gift from Kathy.  Again I aged it a bit and tried to spill the rest of liquid - or whatever it was ;) - around using Still Water. But as always when I use it I failed, lol, and finally used a glue I usually glue fabrics with.

My first attempt of making tin as Sans! is doing it.;) Not too bad as for the first time, I think.;)

This is the third attempt as the second went completely flat when I tried to crumple it.;)

The ground so far. Leaves - a gift from Ira.

Doniczka przywieziona z Wrocławia jakieś 2 lata temu. Postarzona i "utłuczona" przeze mnie.

Puszka nr 3. Puszka nr 2 całkowicie się spłaszczyła przy zgniataniu... ;)

Cała "podłoga" na chwilę obecną. Liście - prezent od Iry.
