"Happy is (s)he who, like Ulysses, has travelled far...."

Aug 1, 2013

The simplest gutter. Najprostsza rynna.

Just take a sipper of colour of your choice, cut to the size  and shape you like and paint. ;)

Can it be simpler? ;) Mine of course is a bit "lost and old" ;)

Then I thought of cobweb. But I am not that patient  to "weave" it... Guess I could leave it like it is and wait.  Who knows? Maybe in time it would get a cobweb? ;)  As you can see all I achieve is some hanging "dust". ;)

****

Wystarczy wziąć słomkę o ulubionym kolorze, przyciąć do odpowiednich: wielkości i kształtu, i pomalować. Czy może być coś prostszego? ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if one smart spider would drop by and think "This beautiful window needs a stunning cobweb"... Fantastic work!

Haha, Ewa, I have cobwebs like that in my house! Seriously... just a little "grayer" with the dirt and dust in them!!! (And I will have to get a photograph of the REAL spiderweb that has been built in my Folly this Summer! (I think I choose to make minis before I choose to clean my house...! :))
This is such a detailed little scene.... I am wondering what the Story is? You are making so many special "abandoned" pieces.... What is the story???

Proste i efektowne. A stare pajęczyny pokryte kurzem właśnie tak wyglądają :)

At the moment the spiders are building cobwebs all over my house. I can spare you some if you like ;-)

Great to be working with simple things and make something nice out of it!

Hi Ewa! The window and wall are fantastic work, I love the idea of the cobweb and just like Birgit and Betsy said: just wait and see, the spiders will find it sooner or later ;)! But I don't hope that will happen, so we still can see the beauty of your scene, before it will disappear under the cobwebs ;)!
Hugs, Ilona

It looks wonderful, but the real thing just might show up! :D It did for me: http://www.otterine.com/blog/blog1.php/spider-webs-in-1-12

It looks great! One way I've made cobwebs is to stretch loosely woven gauze. If you keep gently stretching and pulling you get some very convincing cobwebs.

Ewalina, you don't have to weave any cobwebs, put your scene in a corner for some time and it will happen. My tribal house has real spiderwebs so if your corner doesn't work, use mine ;p

I can't really see what the 1st pic is. Is it a straw?

Thank you Brigit! In this project I would love one little, teeny tiny spider to "produce" it's web there.;)

Yes it is a straw, dear Sam - I know it is an awful photo and I was thinking if I should post it at all but finally did it.;)
Oh, this is a good idea! I will send it to you and you will send it back with the real spider web! :P :P
Hugs and kisses from much too hot Poland
