The laboratory table changes

This is the first table I've got for Snape's office. I bought it unpainted for there is more fun with it then.;) This is one of the tables everybody says it looks so small and one cannot put many things on the top of it. And later it appears one can put a lot of stuff there.;) This is the trial arrangement of laboratory bottles and papers that I photographed around....two years ago - I am slow worker really ;)

You've already seen this photo before but this is how the table looked when first painted and in this stage it spent these years in the box.

Later the idea of how the table should look like changed. I admitted the table is quite small and decided to extend it. This is how it looked with additonal table top and shelf and first layers of a new paint.

And this is how it looks right now
I am really pleased with it now.

Although, you know me...the table is not finished yet I am affraid. ;)I am planning one more change.

I will show it to you once I figure out how to do this thing.:)

I absolutely love how it's turning out! So creative with the extra space, and the paint job is great!

The table looks amazing with the extension! Looks like its a drop leaf table and loving the little shelf above it! Really clever to give you more space. Did you paint or stain it, I really like the colouring. Cant wait to see the next installment! Snape will love it for all his glassware! Love Kate xxx

Thank you so much! I am so happy you like it like Ladies!:D
The table is painted with two paints: one is brown and the other is raw sienna - the best to make things looking used and old;)

Thank you so much Nina! If it wasn't you who wrote about that sienna colour I would never paint the table like this!:)

You have created a piece with real character, I love it!
The paint colour has come out really well too. I struggle with painting furniture I never seem to get the colour right. This is perfect.

The table looks fab and I love the colour too, it looks really aged and worn. The drop leaf sides are a great idea too! :o))

It looks fabulous, I love the extensions! And those books in the first picture are wonderful, have you made them yourself? I'm planning the witches house to be a bit kind of herbalist style :)

Ewa, I thought I love the 2nd paint but then I saw the 3rd and think you have really nailed it! All that glassware is so authentic, especially the test tubs :)!
