In Black. W czerni.

As it seems miniature and non miniature houses are rather full of shabby chic mania, whites and/or delicate pastel colours lately I was quite surprised to get not one but two requests in which main colour is black.

One of the request was quite unusual to me as I was asked to make a modern washstand with two sinks and mirrors. Colours, wallpaper and measurements were chosen and given to me so I had to make everything right.

The sinks were the hardest part for me as I am not usually working with any clay and I waisted quite a lot of it before I figured it out the less work put in making them is ... better! LOL!

I hand made it all except for the mirrors. But if I had let's say 20 days more for making the whole thing I would try to make the frames for them by myself.

The other request was something I did two or three times before. Only this time I was asked to make my telephone side table in glossy black. It was not an easy task to do, though.

Hope you don't mind my long absence from posting anything here and that you will like these two black miniatures! :)

***

Hi Ewa, these miniatures are excellent work. They are stylish, modern and beautifully made. I especially love the modern wash stand, it has a wonderful design :D!
I think that adding a white plant (like an orchid) as an accessory on the wash stand would be wonderful.
I wish you a nice weekend!
Big hug, ilona

So you're back in black to say it with AC/DC... and following Mick Jagger's advice: Paint it black! ;O) Although I'm having no other choice than working in pink at the moment to please my little Rosey I sooooooo agree with you about the black for a change. It looks great on the telephone table and the washing table you've created is breathtaking. Your customers will be over the moon!

Hugs

Hi Ewa! I have just noticed that I can't answer on comments on my blog, so I'll answer your question here on your own blog, if you don't mind...?
You have seen very well these initials: they are the letters MML, but I have connected the letters during embroidering ;)! MML simply means MiniMumLoon and not Marylin Monroe ;)! I 'broke' my mind about what MM could have meant, but now I know it :D LOL!
Big hug, Ilona

Dear Ewa, amazing work! Although I am a fan of the chippy whites, and French brocante, I also love the blacks! Those sinks are fabulous girl!! I can see lots of orders coming your way for those exact sink basins! Everything looks gorgeous! xoxox Christel
