2 little changes and a request for an advice :D

So, I am leaving for Warsaw again...this time I'll be back for the weekend only. I have to say I don't like this business trips at all but I quess I have no choice.
I am leaving you with two little additions to Snape's office. Hope you like them!

The leaves are from Ira and the blood phial from Margaret - as you may remember.

Now about this advice: Kate asked me a few times if I have plans for the next dollshouses or roomboxes. I have a few (most of them not related to magic world...)but to no surprise the Spinner's End is one of them. ;) I am not saying I will be building it already and haven't decided if it is going to be only a roombox or the whole house yet. But I am thinking more about the house. And my request concerns your advice, please: if I was to build the house of Snape's family what do you think it could look like? Remember the description, please - the living room and two secret doors, one leading to the kitchen the other one to the stairs. Maybe my British Friends could tell me what the house like that could look like? What do you all think? Links and photos are welcome!;D Thank you in advance! :D

Znowu wyjeżdżam do Warszawy.
Chciałabym poprosić Was o Waszą opinię, jak według Was wyglądałby rodzinny dom Severusa? Pamiętajcie proszę o książkowym opisie parteru i domu wogóle. Z góry dziękuję za cenne pomysły!:)

Once again a perfect scene! I do love it as I am sure you already know. ;-)

It is too depressing to think about what Snape's family home would look like. He had a horrible home life.

Hrmmmm Speaking of Ira... What in the world happened to her. She was prolific and now she has just vanished!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what happened to her, Catherine, I just hope she is all right. Some time ago Kristy wrote a post asking if anyone knows what might had happened to her but nobody knew. I truly hope she is fine and maybe just bored with blogging and I miss her posts and sence of humour.:)
Thank you so much! I know it was not a cozy place but it can be interesting to build it some day;D

I really hope you won't run out of details to add to that gorgeous office - it's always a pleasure. Sorry, I can't help you with your request, but it sure sounds like an interesting project. Of course it would be no cozy or lovely place, but I agree that it would be very interesting to build. And in a way the perfect addition to that office... Professor Snape's life bow.

Have a great week even inspite of your business trip!

I've just looked Severus Snape up, in the new book I received for my Birthday. It say s in there:- When the art department created the set for Snape's home in the mill town of Spinner's End, they saw it as an opportunity to explore his background and emotional state. Rowling had described the House as full of book, so set director made sure that books were everywhere - lining the walls in bookcases, piled on the floor, even resting on the hall stand. "But", they were all toned down so they were very very dark brown, or very dark blue, or black."
Very simple black silhouettes and landscapes were added to the decor that could have belonged to Snape's parents (from whom he inherited the house). The House itself is an end of terraced house with a small yard. There is a small photograph of the outside of the house in the book.
I googled spinner's end snape's house and there are quite a few images on there.. Hope all this information helps..

Lovely details, Ewa! As usual it is the tiny little things that add so much! That blood vial.... is soooo creepy!
Good luck on your trip to Warsaw! I prefer to stay home too.
I thought I read on one of Dale's posts that she had seen Ira active on facebook instead.... no reason given... but these days Dale is not posting either! (Is this how rumors start?) As with you, I hope she is well and just busy with other things.
I am not familiar enough with the Snape's house to help... except to say it would have to be very strange... more dark than the Black's house. I look forward to seeing what you do next!

Nice little additions to the office! :)

Sorry I can't help with visualising Snape's house - I'm having more than enough trouble with my own projects!! :D

I think Ira is ok - there have been signs of activity in various internet places, so I think perhaps she was tired of minis :( I miss her too, she was fun.

Stunning, I do love that cosy chair around the table! I think the new project sounds perfect but I think you could have alot of your own ideas and interpretation into its design and interior as theres not much to go by . So that could be fun to do! Quite a dark sinister project! Kate xxx

If Snape's homelife is a sad one like Catherine said, I think it will be a great house to make. I think sad houses are so much more fun and challenging? :) Although I find it very difficult not to add something to cheer up a sad corner after I have done it..teehee :).

Debbie's comment is really helpful. I think Snape's house is a damn good idea , Ewa. After creating such a fab office, how can you not give him a house?

The Old Maid said...

Love your sentence about sad houses that are fun to make, Sans ;D I am still thinking if it should be a house or a roombox.

The Old Maid said...

Nic nie szkodzi, jak może doczytałaś już dostałam ciekawy opis i linki do fotek :)
Bardzo się cieszę, że Ci się gabinet podoba!:D
