Gdynia Armchair. Fotel Gdynia.

On our annual Design Days in my city there is less and less interesting things to see I think. This year promoters asked 7 young designers to make something that could be used in the city in the future.

Of all propositions there was only one that was interesting to me: Gdynia Armchair.

Actually it is a deck chair with sunsheild and sides.

The sides can be folded in different ways.

The armchair also has two inner pockets for books or drinks.

Hope you like my version of it and the idea in general. ;)

***

This is stunning - both the idea and even more your miniature version!!! This chair reminds me of the big wickered beach chairs (don't know the real English expression, but you know what I mean) that are so common at our shores here... but in a light, handy version where you can take your own one to the beach with you without renting a big one... Fanstastic work!

Lovely idea. I immediately thought of a "Strandkorb" like BiWuBaer, too. You should make one! They are fantastic. I bought one for my garden (realsize)... even though they are invented for the beach.
