I wanted to put only one post about Wrocław but I took so many photos I will have to bore you with another Polish city for 3 or 4 posts. But this time I will post them in one day - that's the plan for today.;)
Ostrów Tumski is one of the most charming parts of Wrocław that has the cathedral, archbishop's residence, theology faculty and the botanical garden in one place. So here we go:
A view on Ostrów Tumski
This is the bridge that is a very important one for all the in-love-couples...
...they hang the padlocks and throw the keys to the river in hope they as a cuple will last for ever :)
Archbishop's residence
Close ups on cathedral's detiles
The botanical garden (of course I took many more photos than these;))
A bit of fantasy;):
Iris - Dark Vader strain
Lord Voldemort sculpted by a teenager:)
A view on the other side of Odra river
The house I liked most there.
Pierwszy post z fotkami z Wrocławia - bardzo chciałam się zmiescić w jednym, ale się nie dało.;)W tym poscie Ostrów Tumski.

Wow, Ewa! I missed several of your posts! It has been a busy few days for me. I LOVE the architecture.... and the gardens! The gutter spout is fantastic! But those carved stone columns are the BEST! Wow! I LOVE them! I am glad you are posting so many pictures! Thanks for sharing!
:D I knew you will love the columns Betsy! Ha!:D
Happy you like the photos!
I love the idea of the lock on the bridge and then throwing away the key. Any idea what happens when a couple who do that break up? ;p
Sans, we suspect that during nights there are people with saws to cut the locks off :P or they have the second key just in case;D
