A bit of update ;)

Seems to me this blog is not about miniatures anymore lately...;)
But I finally managed to work on miniatures a bit so here is a little update.
I managed to "build" a two steps stairs for the greenhouse. They are made of thin cardboard which was kind of smooth and shiny on one side. This shiny side I glued outside and tried to paint it with the acrylic paint but the paint was leaving strange stripes. Finally I gave in and left it thinking the stairs look a bit like made of wood.;)

This is how the button looks like now. I think the work on it is not over yet.:)

I also entered a new page of this blog. It is about my BJDolls so if anyone wants to see their photos you are very much welcome to click on the page or here. Hope you will like them.:)

And last a few photos from another Polish city. This time I was able to take them in Tczew.

When I first saw the steps, I thought for sure they were wood. So neat!

Success! A very nice step, Ewa! Now you know how to convert cardboard to wood :).

I spent today making metal trunks out of plastic boxes again :). One of them is for the bedroom and that got me thinking of you as I have placed the books you made me in that room :).

Did you blog about the button some time back . I remembered one of your button posts when I asked you something silly cos I did not have enough sleep !! :)

Unbelievable you achieved this wood looking result by accident... looks great. One would never think it's paper.

Have a nice week!

Very true Brigit! But isn't it that sometimes we try to achieve something and we can't no matter how much we put the work in it and sometimes not much work done and the effect is a complete surprise:D
You have a nice week too!:D

Hi Ewa! I can't believe I missed this post to your blog! I was so busy trying to get my giveaway ready that I have failed to keep up with all the blogs!
Your little steps are just the right way to make "Wood"! It really looks like you worked hard to get the grain just right! Sometimes it is just so easy and sometimes we just struggle! I know when I am busy I feel like I am not getting anything done with minis because everything is so small.... it never looks like a lot!! I look forward to seeing more of the greenhouse!

Well I am absolutely charmed by your give-away but you already know it Beatsy ;D Happy you like my little steps! Thank you so much!

The steps do look like they are wood. If you hadn't said cardboard, I'd have never known.

Your bjd's are beautiful. :)
