Hope you've had a lovely day! I think it's better to celebrate an Independence Day than starting the Carnival Season like many Germans did at 11:11... ;O)

My husband and I are 2nd generation Poles so we can celebrate with you. Can you explain when and how your Independence Day started? Keep up the wonderful postings." Kathy Obrenski @ Wee Little West
Kathy, you should! Poland is a very beautiful country! I am curious where did your parents live in Poland?
About the Independence Day in Poland in a short way: after the IWW was over, we gained our freedom back. It was for the first time from 123 years of being erased from the maps. These years before the territory of my country was divided into three occupant's countries for the third time in our history. The end of IWW brought us freedom and a very small acces to the Baltic Sea. And because Poland didn't have it's own harbor anymore by that time, my nation decided to build one up and that's how my city, Gdynia, was born.:) I am happy we can celebrate this holiday together, Kathy!
Hi! I live in Poland, in a very pretty city Gdynia at the sea-side. I am a miniatures collector and I try to make them myself too. That is what this blog is all about :)
