Paper works

Due to my tasks at work I travel a lot and have no time for miniatures lately. Hope to do anything this weekend but I thought that since I travel and not forget to take my camera with me I will show you photos of my beautiful country.
Don't know if you don't get bored fast.... but I was thinking about it for a long time.
Today I managed to visit my city's museum to see the exhibition of historical gowns and dresses prepared by Sabina Czupryńska and made of...wrapping paper. The photos behind the gowns are to show that they are wearable. The author of the photos is Damian Kramski. The title of the exhibition: " The dress adorns, seduces, ties..."
Hope you will like it.

Help for Japan - join if you could

So I saw this sentence about the silence on Blogger for Japan today.
Since it is a day for Japan here and Japan is all my life my dream country to visit I decided to post about the auction that one of my Friends from BJDream forum makes. Marti is a very talented young artist, actually the first Ball Jointed Dolls artist in Poland who started to sell her dolls internationally, she also leads Polish BJDream forum. Marti loves Japan and has got many friends there. Not surprisingly she decided to collect financial help for the beautiful country Japan is. Now she is selling one of her dolls - made by her and untill now in her private collection - throught Ebay.
Here is a link to the auction.
And here is a photo of the doll named Palageya Anushka.

The money from the auction will support The Japanese Red Cross.
Please join if you can or tell everyone about it. Thank you.

Just a floor.

I guess it is time to reveal that this greenhouse is not going to be a greenhouse any more, althought there are still going to be a few flowers in it.:) This small project's name is "My little pleasure" and soon I will tell you why.:) For now I made a very simple floor for it.

The floor is made of simple wooden cup mats. I cut them into pieces and glued onto the octagonal cardboard. Then I covered the wood with a few layers of brown glass paint. This paint always gives such a nice shine. And that's it.:)

Hope you like it.:)

Temu małemu projektowi nadałam nazwę "My little Pleasure". Później pokryłam drewno paroma warstwami brązowej farbki do szkła. Dzięki temu uzyskałam efekt podłogi na wysoki połysk.:)

A small greenhouse update:)

Finally an update.;D But short today. Finished painting a while ago. This is how my little greenhouse looks like today.

Still think if I could paint it more...;)

My boy :)

This is specially for Betsy.:) And to show you how great Glenda's wands suit for my dolls.;)
This is my beloved BJDoll - DZ MSD mold Megi. His names are Lawrence Orest Lannon but I usually call him Lanny or Mysza.;)

Love this photo.:)
I also have DOC MSD Petsha but she's still patiently waiting for her make up...So no photos today.;)
And here are the wands.:)

Great gifts:D

Lately my dear Friend Glenda offered on her blog Peppercorn Minis some wonderful miniatures to give away. I was very very very lucky to get a great wizard set, wonderful rugs made by Glenda - I looooooooove them all and admire your talents my Friend:D - and yummy fruits.

They all will find their homes in my future projects. As you can see one of them already is in it's new place.:)

The wands you can see on the first photo are a bit bigger than 1:12 scale and are just perfect for my BJDolls to play wizards.;D
Dear Glenda thank you from the bottom of my heart for these wonderful miniatures! You are a wonderful and generous Woman. Thank you soooooo much.:D

The next lot of books:)

This time I ordered all and every magical book Grace has got in her shop.:D These books are from Tree Feathers Miniatures website but you can buy them in Etsy shop too:)

Love this box of ten books!:) As it is not my first order from this shop I knew the books will be greatly made and perfect for the shelves, and of course they are.:) Grace was sooo kind and she sent gifts with my order - the little printies and additional book.
Thank you so much Grace for the books, printies and your kind assistance!:)

A little bit like Audrey's

This is what I thought when I saw this pretty hat with matching bag.:)

Here is the original Audrey Hepburn's hat. Aren't they alike?:)

This beautiful couple I bought in Luned's "Just fo you" Etsy shop which Jenn of Looking Glass Miniatures mentioned on her blog earlier. I have chosen the pink one as I have a doll dressed in pink to make.:)
Luned's got also a wonderful collection of bonnets - of course I am planning to buy one or two of them soon;) - and you surely will find other miniatures there too.
Thank you, Luned, for this beautiful hat and bag and your kind assistance!

Ten sliczny kapelusz wypatrzyłam w sklepiku Etsy o wdzięcznej nazwie "Just for you". W sklepiku, w którym kupiłam ten uroczy różowy zestaw znajdziecie też czarujące czepki i trochę miniaturowych słodkosci:)

First books for Spinner's End...

...which I don't know when I will be building because I have a lot of books to collect before. Truth is I will have to make tons of them myself but since there are great book's makers around I decided to order at least a few.

These books you see on the photo were bought from Ladies Mile Miniatures Etsy Shop. Theresa's got also her own website named the same way. She sells lots of miniatures including books that perfectly fit into 1:12 shelves. These are really simple books but I love the covers which will look perfectly when standing on the shelves.:)
Thank you, Theresa for the books and your kind assistance!

A capital city's surprise

You may not know but I don't really like our capital city. Comparing to my quiet, windy city, Warsaw is noisy and has most ugly main train station you can imagine. I never am fond of going there so I wasn't happy to go there in January either. Not to mention for a whole 5 days!
Still to my surprise, it wasn't that bad as I expected. We accidently had a good hotel and free evenings, the city was still wearing it's Christmas lights so the Old Town was really charming, we visited brand new Chopin's Museum, very modern with a lot modern technics in use.
I went to our head quarters with two of my workmates. The girls just loved to watch every jewelery shop's windows and I...well, quess there is not a lot of a woman in me ;)...was getting a bit bored of that. While waiting for them to finsh admiring all the jewelery staff in the next shop I looked once again at the window display and - imagine my surprise - I noticed this!!

Glad my friend has a cellphone with a good camera in it, I of course forgot to take my camera with me - million times I repeat I should have it with me always and still forgetting to take it. If not for Renata I would have never been able to show you this 1:12 jeweler's setting!
So if you wonder why I am showing it to you almost a month after coming back home I have to explain my friend's cellphone got broken on the last day of our trip and only now she's got it back working.:)
